Payments

Payments are expected at the time of service.

Episodes of Treatment

Intake assessments are required for all new clients and will occur annually during the episode of treatment. If there is a 6-month break in service, a new intake assessment will be required to reinstate services. Corresponding fees will apply.

APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. These are your sessions reserved exclusively for you, make sure you value your time as well as mine. Canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in being charged a $75 cancellation fee.

NO SHOWS

If you do not show up for a session, you will be charged the full session fee.

LETTERS or COURT REPORTS

I do not write legal letters or court reports on behalf of clients involving divorce, custody, or lawsuits. I do not write letters pertaining to legal matters to any outside person (i.e. doctor, school, attorney, etc.) or agency regarding your treatment. I do not write letters for service/ emotional support animals or fill out forms for disability eligibility or FMLA

FREQUENT CANCELLATIONS OR MULTIPLE NO-SHOWS

Life happens and it is understandable that you may occasionally need to cancel or miss an appointment due to illness or emergency. Frequent cancellations missed appointments, could result in the termination of the treatment relationship.

BETWEEN SESSION/OFF-HOURS CONTACT

If you need to contact your counselor between sessions, please leave a message on their voice mail. Calls are usually returned within 24-48 hours. If you call in the evening, over the weekend, or on a holiday, your call will be returned on the next working day.

If your situation is an acute emergency and you need to speak to someone right away, please call 911, go directly to your nearest emergency room, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Termination

You have the right to end your counseling at any time, for whatever reason, and without any obligation, except for payment of fees for services already provided.

TheraHelp reserves the right to discontinue counseling services at any time and for any reason.
